Artefactual Systems, Internal Archivematica Dev Mtg, 2013-10-30

Development[edit]

  • Holly got default configuration working for AIP Storage Location (and did some refactoring of the LinkTaskManagers, issue #5874).
  • Misty completed FPR-driven characterization and has a fiwalk characterization script written for disk images (issue #5866).
  • Holly worked on producing the two METS files for AICs correctly - the one for the AIP and the one with the AIC info (issues #5883 and #5803).
  • Holly updated the Storage Service to expect AICs in addition to AIPs, and started trying to get AICs and ElasticSearch playing nicely (issue #5803).
  • Holly is also reading about ZeroMQ in the hopes of getting inspiration about how to update the MCPClient (issue #5839).
  • Misty also wrote a new "examine contents" microservice, which runs bulk_extractor (issue #5880).
  • Misty submitted a number of new formats to PRONOM, and heard back that they're likely to make it into a coming PRONOM release (issue #5836).
  • Justin has been working on tagging 1.0.
  • Mike C fixed a security issue pointed out by Sevein (issue #5841).
  • Mike C roughed out endpoints for the transfer management REST API for Islandora integration (issue #5837).
  • Mike C added background batch download capability that will be used for the transfer management REST API (issue #5837).
  • Mike C added support for extracting bz2 files from AIPs in storage service (issue #5854).
