Deployment[edit]

  • New client deployed smoothly and deployment documentation created at the same time
    • local users/testers were assigned Redmine accts and projects

Documentation[edit]

  • Justin
    • adding internal wiki documentation about how to add a new micro-service (since AT was just completed)
    • writing up a list of internal variables that are available for use in micro-services, things like '%SIPName%', %SIPDirectory%, some micro-services need that kind of data and archivematica is already tracking it - will add to internal wiki for now, should go somewhere in public docs eventually, either administrator manual or perhaps a new Technical Documentation section of wiki
  • Mike C documented the transfer automation REST API

Testing[edit]

  • Courtney testing a lot this week

(10:35:57 AM) berwin22: FPR client/server stuff is looking good thus far. I've assigned some stuff to Justin to review, but his time is fairly stretched.
(10:36:42 AM) berwin22: I believe I cleared out my outstanding sponsored issues: at least they are in qa review.
(10:37:01 AM) berwin22: I have a handful of highs to keep working on.
(10:37:35 AM) courtney: berwin22: great
(10:38:17 AM) mcantelon: Mike C replaced task dialogs with pages.
(10:38:19 AM) berwin22: FYI ARTiafk: I haven't created an issue for this yes, but I guess we'll need an FPRClient package for the release
(10:39:01 AM) courtney: mcantelon: i really like that
(10:39:16 AM) mcantelon: Thx :D
(10:39:29 AM) courtney: mcantelon: the 'next page' button is in a weird place... you can 'splain to me at later time
(10:40:07 AM) mcantelon: Sure... might need a CSS tweak.
(10:40:32 AM) courtney: berwin22: I'll point that out for ARTiafk in the notes and email him to call his attention to it
(10:41:21 AM) courtney: any more dev?
(10:41:51 AM) berwin22: not from I
(10:42:02 AM) courtney: in our release planning, we set this week as "test packages" week
(10:42:30 AM) courtney: ARTiafk was supposed to be working on updating packages, but I think that is pushed to next week now
(10:42:52 AM) epmclellan1: yeah, Austin's pretty busy right now
(10:43:15 AM) ARTiafk: courtney: fits packages?
(10:43:15 AM) courtney: epmclellan1: yeah, can you remind him that package building commences next week, though?
(10:43:25 AM) epmclellan1: oh hi ARTiafk
(10:43:29 AM) courtney: ARTiafk: we're pushing it to 1.0 - don't worry about it
(10:43:39 AM) JustinSimpson: dev from Justin is all about Archivists Toolkit, just testing this morning, hopefully done and all checked in and ready in a couple hours
(10:43:47 AM) epmclellan1: JustinSimpson: nice!
(10:43:52 AM) MikeG-: nice one JustinSimpson
(10:43:53 AM) courtney: ARTiafk: see also what berwin22 said above about FPRClient package
(10:44:00 AM) courtney: woohoo JustinSimpson
(10:44:21 AM) JustinSimpson: still have to see the tests all work, so I will reserve my woohoo for a couple hours
(10:44:22 AM) ***ARTiafk reads
(10:44:33 AM) epmclellan1: suppressing woohoo
(10:44:48 AM) courtney: i'll just woohoo again later
(10:44:57 AM) courtney: ok - DEPLOYMENT epmclellan1
(10:45:24 AM) epmclellan1: lovely deployment at [client], and we created deployment docs in the wiki at the same time
(10:45:33 AM) djjuhasz: I approved of courtney's "more woohoo's" plan :)
(10:45:38 AM) peterVG: epmclellan1: nice!
(10:45:43 AM) mcantelon: Nicr!

(10:47:08 AM) courtney: epmclellan1: when in the deployment process are the local users/testers assigned Redmine accounts and projects?
(10:47:23 AM) epmclellan1: I've already done that for [client]
(10:47:27 AM) epmclellan1: makes sense to do it right away
(10:47:46 AM) courtney: Documentation, folks?
(10:48:25 AM) JustinSimpson: I am going to write up a document today on the internal wiki, about how to add a new micro-service, as I have just done that for AT.
(10:48:26 AM) ARTiafk: berwin22: what is the fpr client package being created from?
(10:48:32 AM) mcantelon: I documented the transfer automation REST doohicky.

(10:48:41 AM) ***ARTiafk dosn't see anything under /src

(10:48:48 AM) ARTiafk is now known as ARTi
(10:49:37 AM) courtney: JustinSimpson: actually, we could include that in the administrator manual as well... or at least a modified version of it
(10:50:38 AM) mcantelon: JustinSimpson: Nice!
(10:50:40 AM) JustinSimpson: for archivematica docs, I am also writing up a list of internal variables that are available for use in micro-services, things like '%SIPName%', %SIPDirectory%, some micro-services need that kind of data and archivematica is already tracking it. I will add to internal wiki for now, should go somewhere in public docs eventually, either administrator manual or perhaps a new Technical Documentation section of wiki
(10:51:16 AM) epmclellan1: JustinSimpson: that's great, the more docs the better
(10:52:15 AM) courtney: Testing
(10:52:19 AM) courtney: I'm doing that
