Chat log[edit]
10:32:03 AM) courtney: dev (10:32:42 AM) epmclellan: seems to be a flurry of content dm patches flying around (10:33:04 AM) ARTi: Sevein: nice work dude! (10:33:05 AM) berwin221: I've been mostly advising on the content dm (10:33:07 AM) ARTi: looks excellent (10:33:08 AM) peterVG: ARTi: Sevein djjuhasz can we follow-up on that discussion ^ briefly after this Archivematica mtg to decide on next steps (10:33:19 AM) Sevein: ok (10:33:29 AM) ARTi: k (10:33:31 AM) mcantelon: For the content DM thing Mike C integrated Select2 widget for dashboard choices with 10+ actions. (10:33:38 AM) peterVG: nice (10:33:39 AM) berwin221: did some workflow repairs I found broken (10:33:55 AM) epmclellan: where are with contentdm? (10:33:58 AM) epmclellan: in summary (10:34:10 AM) epmclellan: I meant where are we with contentdm (10:34:10 AM) mcantelon: Mike C added an Elasticsearch transfer indexing microservice. (10:34:19 AM) epmclellan: cool (10:34:20 AM) peterVG: super! (10:34:24 AM) ARTi: mcantelon: did that package work out for you? (10:34:27 AM) mcantelon: Thx. :) (10:34:39 AM) mcantelon: ARTi: Yeah it totally worked... big thanks! (10:34:43 AM) ARTi: rad (10:35:04 AM) mcantelon: I'm really liking Elasticsearch so far. Really easy to use. (10:35:30 AM) peterVG: great! (10:35:33 AM) mcantelon: epmclellan: We had some back and forth with patches so a bit of ContentDM to go. (10:35:38 AM) epmclellan: I noticed validation of user-supplied structMaps is in (10:35:42 AM) epmclellan: which is great (10:36:12 AM) epmclellan: mcantelon: will we be able to sit down together later today and watch a SIP go through ingest to access, using contentdm dips? (10:36:43 AM) mcantelon: epmclellan: I wanted to get the direct download work done last night but ended up working with Mark to troubleshoot some weirdness with a new version of his patch. (10:37:11 AM) epmclellan: where does that leave us for tomorrow? (10:37:16 AM) mcantelon: epmcellan: Yeah, we should be able to. Joseph or I can put in his latest patch. (10:37:30 AM) epmclellan: k, great (10:38:10 AM) courtney: is that it for dev? (10:38:13 AM) ARTi: epmclellan and I have been working on email conversion a bit. none of the scripts seemed to have worked.. and I maybe hung up on some imap configuration (10:38:29 AM) mcantelon: epmclellan: I think once Mark's last patch gets committed then it's just a matter of getting the download working which seems like it should be doable (if not the direct download from the ingest page then from the access page). (10:38:47 AM) epmclellan: ok (10:38:56 AM) peterVG: who's going on site for UBC testing tomorrow? epmclellan & ARTi? (10:38:57 AM) mcantelon: Mike C added the ability to start transfers from the file browser. (10:39:11 AM) ARTi: peterVG: yeah, Im there (10:39:16 AM) epmclellan: and MArk of course (10:39:23 AM) peterVG: great (10:39:32 AM) epmclellan: ARTi: you have to install 0.9-dev first, do you know how long that will take? (10:40:13 AM) courtney: it doesn't seem like i need to go if we can go through the demo here today - just important that i see it (10:40:15 AM) mcantelon: Also did some work on the rights: trying to get Django's form abstract to deal with 3 levels of data then realizing it requires hacks. (10:40:24 AM) epmclellan: courtney: agreed (10:40:43 AM) epmclellan: ARTi: will you be able to install 0.9-dev at UBC Library in time for contentdm testing? (10:40:52 AM) epmclellan: i.e. you'll be in at 10:00, right? (10:41:00 AM) ARTi: epmclellan: hrmm.. maybe a bit over an hour, ~30min to install ubuntu, ~40min to install dev env (10:41:16 AM) epmclellan: ok, that's not bad, should work out ok (10:41:22 AM) ARTi: yep 10, what time is testing planned? (10:41:35 AM) epmclellan: project meeting is scheduled to go to 11:00, then testing (10:41:44 AM) epmclellan: but project meetings can sometimes run over a bit (10:41:49 AM) ARTi: am I installing it to a virtual machine? (10:41:57 AM) peterVG: epmclellan: courtney I am also going to pass on UBC tomorrow. too many urgent things that need to get done this week. looking at last meeting agenda (forwarding now) I think Evelyn can run this mtg with some updates on tasks from me and courtney (10:42:11 AM) epmclellan: ARTi: you're installing at UBC Library, replacing their 0.8 install (10:42:15 AM) courtney: noted peterVG (10:42:18 AM) epmclellan: peterVG: sounds fine (10:43:52 AM) courtney: more deployment? (10:44:27 AM) ARTi: epmclellan: OK right, catch up about ubc post-mtg? may have to contact jill about provisioning a new vm (10:45:00 AM) epmclellan: you can't use current vm? (10:45:16 AM) ARTi: no its running ubuntu 10.04 (10:45:23 AM) epmclellan: I see (10:45:29 AM) epmclellan: better contact Jill asap (10:45:33 AM) ARTi: yep (10:45:37 AM) ARTi: will do (10:45:42 AM) epmclellan: thanks (10:46:04 AM) courtney: documentation? (10:46:16 AM) jonhattan left the room (quit: Quit: Ex-Chat). (10:46:33 AM) courtney: I'm working on mockups for AIP index search page (10:46:46 AM) courtney: also workflows for acquisition (UN, UBC) (10:46:53 AM) epmclellan: no docs from me (10:47:17 AM) peterVG: grat (10:47:23 AM) peterVG: *great* (10:47:25 AM) courtney: submitted draft to iPres for consideration - re: dev roadmap for Archivematica 1.0 (10:47:38 AM) courtney: peterVG: def not free : ) (10:47:46 AM) ARTi: none from me (10:48:17 AM) courtney: testing (10:48:37 AM) courtney: I'm almost done my outstanding QA... all good news so far (10:48:42 AM) peterVG: ARTi: where's scalability testing docs on your to-do list. i realize we bumped it down in priority for some other tasks (10:48:44 AM) mcantelon: Mike C has been doing browser testing. TLDR: IE bugs. (10:48:50 AM) courtney: METS validated for user supplied structmap (10:49:40 AM) courtney: empty directories in bags works for maildir (10:49:48 AM) epmclellan: nice (10:49:54 AM) ARTi: peterVG: after we figure out the maildir conversion, but will have lots of side time for it over the next few days (10:50:09 AM) peterVG: great (10:50:28 AM) ARTi: berwin22 you tested the soffice change.. but saw the same issue? Its painful how unreliable it is. (10:51:17 AM) berwin221: It worked ok for the sample officeDocs transfer, except one file .... but (10:51:58 AM) berwin221: when I scaled up and included about 100 copies of that transfer, excluding the file that was failing, it started to fail about 20% of the time, not being able to find the server. (10:52:27 AM) ARTi: wooo (10:52:43 AM) ARTi: I wonder if we should at some point test going back to calling it per file (10:53:02 AM) berwin221: ? (10:53:11 AM) berwin221: what do you mean by that? (10:53:13 AM) ARTi: instead of using the openoffice server (10:53:21 AM) berwin221: could try (10:54:30 AM) courtney: berwin221: can you take a look at the list question re tiff normalization? (10:55:31 AM) berwin221: I think it might be an issue with the tool/program used to convert (10:55:38 AM) berwin221: k
