(10:40:25 AM) ARTi1: mcantelon: bravery increase by +10 (10:40:30 AM) epmclellan: heh (10:40:34 AM) mcantelon: ARTi1: Haha (10:40:56 AM) berwin222: I've created a git branch named Joseph, and am working on rehashing some of the database stuff there for FPR/Normalization by file id (10:41:10 AM) courtney: i started a wiki page for File identification requirements (https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/File_identification_requirements) and am currently working on identifying the appropriate FITS output for format identification (10:41:17 AM) mcantelon: epmclellan: You couldn't click into viewing metadata with IE 8 for one. (10:41:31 AM) berwin222: Working on it in a seperate branch to try to keep trunk unbroken. (10:41:39 AM) epmclellan: courtney: I'll put that under docs (10:42:04 AM) courtney: epmclellan: ok, berwin222 is waiting on a lot of it for dev (10:42:32 AM) epmclellan: k (10:42:48 AM) epmclellan: split between docs and dev (10:43:43 AM) epmclellan: any deployment news? (10:43:50 AM) mcantelon: epmcellan: Also some instances where AJAX stuff was getting cached by IE. (10:43:59 AM) epmclellan: mcantelon: sounds like a party (10:44:04 AM) epmclellan: good ol IE8 (10:44:11 AM) mcantelon: Hehe. 8o (10:44:14 AM) courtney: UBC AM was a bit slow loading normalization reports and review tab (10:44:32 AM) courtney: UBC AM was also slow loading the library share drive to the transfer tab (10:45:09 AM) epmclellan: I tried to create a test record in their instance of AtoM today, it was too slow to work (10:45:42 AM) epmclellan: this is something they need to be working on at their end, is that right ARTi1? (10:45:52 AM) epmclellan: i.e. not enough resources allocated to their VMs? (10:46:08 AM) ARTi1: epmclellan: yeah possibly, or they have VMs that are doing alot of other work on the same machine (10:46:19 AM) djjuhasz: epmclellan: I've been emailing with Jill and Sarah about the slowness of their AtoM VM (10:46:40 AM) epmclellan: ok, I thought so, thanks (10:46:51 AM) djjuhasz: epmclellan: they have an issue open with IT, and they were going to notify them when it's running slow (10:47:10 AM) epmclellan: sounds good (10:47:15 AM) djjuhasz: epmclellan: Maybe shoot an email to them to let them know its was running really slow for you? (10:47:20 AM) epmclellan: sure (10:47:50 AM) epmclellan: testing? (10:48:12 AM) courtney: i'm installing bitcurator tools (10:48:17 AM) epmclellan: ooh (10:48:31 AM) epmclellan: I'd like to see those in action (10:48:32 AM) courtney: will start testing next week for inclusion in create sip process (10:48:36 AM) epmclellan: nice (10:49:04 AM) courtney: mcantelon: did you get to the browser testing (other than ie8)? (10:49:33 AM) mcantelon: courtney: I didn't do beyond IE8. The testing thing is really flaky. It won't run on my Mac and sometimes runs on my Ubuntu. *sigh* (10:49:52 AM) courtney: mcantelon: hmmm... good to know (10:50:05 AM) courtney: peterVG: we need to get on this for the tutorial next weekend ^ (10:50:21 AM) mcantelon: courtney: Yeah, it's the tunnel thing that's flakey. I might be able to find a way to work around that by setting up my own external tunnel to my VM. (10:50:47 AM) courtney: mcantelon: peterVG: ARTi1: we should talk about this this afternoon (10:51:06 AM) mcantelon: Dev-related question: seeing as we can rebuild AIPs from files, I wonder if I should get rid of the backup, to DB, of the AIP stuff getting indexed? Would keep DBs fom bloating. (10:51:16 AM) mcantelon: courtney: Sounds good. (10:52:07 AM) epmclellan: mcantelon: I think we're going to talk about that kind of thing this afternoon (10:52:19 AM) mcantelon: epmclellan: Sounds good. (10:52:29 AM) peterVG: yup (10:52:58 AM) courtney: docs: FPR wiki page https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/Format_policy_registry_requirements (10:53:00 AM) mcantelon: courtney: Yeah, that's what I'll do for the browser testing... not use Browserstack's weird tunneling thing and do it manually. Will set this up this aft. (10:53:11 AM) epmclellan: re docs: I've documented Archivematica/Archivists Toolkit requirements at https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/Archivists_Toolkit_integration (10:53:12 AM) courtney: mcantelon: ok (10:53:31 AM) fiver: Docs: Archivematica VA instructions have gotten serious screenshots and tweaks - more to come! https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/Virtual_appliance_instructions Point me toward other priority documentation fixes as well, and I will tackle them as I have time... (10:53:50 AM) courtney: fiver: awesome (10:53:51 AM) JessicaB: woot woot (10:54:01 AM) epmclellan: great!! (10:54:03 AM) courtney: fiver: i'd like to update the atom screenshots in the user manual access page (10:54:10 AM) fiver: Thanks to JessicaB for the help with those (10:54:38 AM) fiver: courtney: sure, maybe create an Asana task for me? (10:54:47 AM) courtney: fiver: will do (10:54:53 AM) fiver: I've got to run off to my other job now! See you all soon... (10:55:00 AM) mcantelon: fiver: Later! (10:55:01 AM) JessicaB: I think there needs to be a bit of doc development re; the cross-over between Archivematica and AtoM. (10:55:03 AM) courtney: epmclellan: thanks for including a link on the Development > Requirements page! (10:55:11 AM) epmclellan: np (10:55:19 AM) fiver left the room. (10:55:25 AM) courtney: I'm trying to keep all requirements together for those who don't know yet: https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/Requirements (10:56:02 AM) epmclellan: we'll tame that wiki yet (10:56:07 AM) courtney: baby steps (10:56:31 AM) epmclellan: any more meeting items? (10:56:32 AM) courtney: epmclellan: we should get something about mtg with mark/contentdm in dev notes (10:56:54 AM) epmclellan: courtney: agreed (10:56:56 AM) courtney: epmclellan: and whether next step is 0.9.1 or patches (10:57:03 AM) epmclellan: patches (10:57:05 AM) courtney: patches, i think, is what we decided (10:57:06 AM) courtney: yes (10:57:07 AM) courtney: : ) (10:57:38 AM) epmclellan: ok, let's wrap up this meeting and have a party!! (10:57:47 AM) epmclellan: seriously, it's party time
