There are a three primary ways to download and use Archivematica 0.6-alpha.
Bootable USB key

Virtual appliance

Bare metal install
If you have hardware that you can dedicate to an Archivematica appliance you can use the .raw file above to do a bare metal install. The .raw file is designed to work in a minimal 4GB demo environment. Once it is installed on dedicated hardware you can use a disk utility to increase the disk partition to take advantage of all the hard disk space available on the machine.
