Development
- Joseph has been working on maildir. There have been 4 maildir tests:
- The first one was using office 2003 importing the pst. There were a number of warnings about unicode etc. Joseph wasn't able to import the pst directly into the maildir directory. Had to move individual files. We decided to order office 2010 and try that.
- The second one was the one Austin created by using readpst to convert PST to MBOX. Then used another tool to convert MBOX to Maildir. These files had problems with their attachment names being malformed.
- The third test was started last week. Joseph got the office 2010 installed on the windows 7 vm. Again he wasn't able to import the pst directly into the maildir directory. Copying the directories over worked, except for a few emails (like 5). There weren't any error messages popping up, but those ones simply wouldn't budge. The IMAP server stores the emails locally in Maildir++ format. He took a copy from the server (efir) and re-arranged it to Maildir format. I processed that to identify the viruses.
- He took another copy, and removed the viral emails, then started to process it again. That is the test that he's currently trying to conclude. When it reaches the upload DIP and Store AIP microservice, he's going to stop, create a mysqldump, and take copies of the AIP and DIP for analysis. Then re-create the db for the 4th test.
- The fourth test will be with the maildir created by Austin by using an imap to maildir tool. This means the user won't need to manually re-arrange the directory from Maildir++ to Maildir.
Deployment
- Austin has been building Archivematica 0.9 packages
Testing
- Evelyn has been testing both dev environment and packages
- Only remaining issue is DIP upload, which is not working. Jesus is working on it.
Documentation
- Courtney is working on the user manual and tutorial for 0.9
- The tutorial will be included in the package
- Courtney will do a screencast for v0.9
- Evelyn will update and clean up the development roadmap
